Cold-Sleep

Odin: "I am sorry, I had to wake you, but, I have to know the outcome of the battle."

Haid: "Now you know. How long have we got?"

Odin: "They will reach Midgard in three days."

Haid: "It means I can sleep another thirty years."

Odin: "How can you stand this place?" (His voice shook slightly as he slowly turned to look down the long aisles of frozen containers).

Haid: "For me, this is bliss and forgetfulness. Awake, my loved ones are dead and my world shattered."

Odin” "You know what the native call this place?"

Haid: "I know - Hell! Ja, and they call Valhalla Heaven. I am not sure it isn’t the other way around."

Odin: "I tried to tell them that Valhalla is a hospital, but, to them we raise the dead."

Haid: "Pull the switch. Coming in and out of cold-storage is not pleasant. I don’t want to prolong it."

Odin pulled the switch, as the lid lowered over Haid, she bend her right arm at the elbow, palm facing Odin and said ‘Until Ragnarok.’ Odin with the same greeting replied ‘Until Ragnarok.’

Odin stood for a few minutes as the container frosted over, his whole body shook once when he could not see Haid anymore. He then slowly walked through the large hall and up the stairs into the sunshine. In his mind, he was not sure if he was walking out of Hell or walking into it.
